Franziska and myself had almost four weeks available to travel abroad. After playing about one hour with Google Earth, going back and forth between Australia, Hawaii and other fancy locations, we settled in on Hawaii and San Francisco.
The first thing we did was going to the bookshop to get a Lonely Planet for Hawaii, which has turned out a pretty good source of information.
The we had to book our flights, which turned out to be a bit of a pain, since the local Travel Agency asked for 400CHF premium…so we booked our self’s.
The plan was:
5 Nights in San Francisco (finally we ended up in Pacifica)
4 Nights in Kauai, two in Waimea and two in Hanalay Bay
3 Nights on Oahu
5 Nights on Maui
7 Nights on Big Island, two in Volcano and 5 in Waimea
Each location and island was unique, special and memorable by itself. We met great people and made friends. It was a wonderful trip and if you don’t believe me, enjoy the almost 5’000 Pictures we have taken….
